What is refurbished?

Systems that do not pass the test process undergo trouble shooting by trained technical staff, repaired and retested.
After they are tested, systems are reloaded with the factory specified operating system and drivers for that exact system.
Once they are reimaged, systems undergo a final inspection and cleaning. They are then packaged with their accompanying accessories and ready to ship.
Where do refurbished products originally come from?
Refurbished computers originate from a variety of sources:
• Customer returns and canceled orders – fully-functional, but because they have been opened, can no longer be sold as new
• Damaged products – returned due to cosmetic flaw or shipping damage
• Overstock returns – items returned to make room for new systems
• Demonstration or floor units – systems used to help sell inventory
