I did have some reservations about ordering this after reading some of the other reviews, but Im happy to say that my fears were totally unfounded. Absolutely no physical defects that I have spotted, and it would have to have been a really major one for to raise a fuss. System booted fine and works great considering the specs, definitely should have came with more memory. But toher than that works like a champ. Unit was shipped Monday morning and I received it here in Ohio at 10:37 Tuesday morning.

I got the Iconia Tab from Cheetah a week ago via UPS. The tablet came in perfect condition, hard to tell it was a refurb. The tablet booted right up, no problems at all. I immediately put the consumer preview of Windows 8 on the tablet.

The tablet runs Windows 8 just fine, pretty responsive. Working fine with Google Apps, basic browsing and general computing. While the C50 processor and 2GB RAM does not sound like much, the system runs almost as fast for browsing as my Core i3 laptop with Windows 7. The attachable keyboard is ok and serves as a decent docking station.

I can't give it 5 stars because it could really use a bigger hard drive (only 32GB) and I would prefer a little more RAM. But for basic computing and mobility, it is a good little machine.

Got this specifically to try out Windows 8 Consumer Preview: connected external drive, changed boot settings and installed from DVD without issue. Works pretty well out of the box, needed to add Win7 drivers from Acer site for rotation to work.

ITEM CAME WITH SCRATCHES CLEARLY USED AND NIT REFURBISHED BATTERY DEAD ON ARRIVAL BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING AS TURNED OUT LATER NEVER AGAIN WOULD BUY FROM THIS VENDOR
